Art For All Kits
Art For All Kits is a Sudbury Art Association initiative to promote access to creative materials. We purchase and assemble kits of new art supplies which are distributed by local community services agencies to under-served populations. This program was established in 2022. So far, each year we’ve increased the number of kits created. In 2025 we made more than 170 kits, each costing approx. $20. Our distributing partners have indicated that they can and will distribute as many kits as we can supply. We commit to creating as many kits as we have funding for.
SAA’s Community Connections program has volunteers from SAA going into the Sudbury Extended Day program with hands-on art experiences. The Extended Day program makes a generous donation in return, and those funds go directly to the Arts for All Kits. Past funding has also come from state and local grants and private donations.
Taking time to explore creative expression can be healing and increases the quality of life. SAA is proud of this program of giving back to our communities. If you would like to support this effort with a donation, please use the button below.

Free Little Art Gallery
Sudbury’s very own Free Little Art Gallery has been installed outside the Goodnow Library. Coming in from the back parking lot, you can’t miss it. The gallery will be on your right just before the drive-up book drop!
Anyone is invited to create small art pieces (generally no larger than 4”x4”) to be placed in the gallery. Just like a Little Free Library in which visitors can both take and leave books, visitors to the Free Little Art Gallery are invited to both take and leave art. You do not need to leave anything in order to take art.
Currently supply kits are also being left in the gallery for visitors to take courtesy of Take+Create (and a grant from the Sudbury Cultural Council) and eventually this will be moved to a supply box below the gallery.
A big thank you to Ferrell Mackey and Esme Green from the Goodnow Library for your support, as well as Beau Schless for building the gallery, Kevin Shaw for his help with lighting and installation, and Larry Jodrey for installation. We could not have done this without you.
And we are grateful to the Sherman Family and the Goodnow Library Foundation for the Sara Sherman NOW Lab whose tools and machines created the signage.
Don’t live near the Sudbury but want to contribute? Art can be mailed to The Sara Sherman NOW Lab, Goodnow Library, 21 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776 and we will be happy to place your art in the gallery!
