Free Little Art Gallery

Sudbury’s very own Free Little Art Gallery has been installed outside the Goodnow Library. Coming in from the back parking lot, you can’t miss it. The gallery will be on your right just before the drive-up book drop!

Anyone is invited to create small art pieces (generally no larger than 4”x4”) to be placed in the gallery. Just like a Little Free Library in which visitors can both take and leave books, visitors to the Free Little Art Gallery are invited to both take and leave art. You do not need to leave anything in order to take art.

Currently supply kits are also being left in the gallery for visitors to take courtesy of Take+Create (and a grant from the Sudbury Cultural Council) and eventually this will be moved to a supply box below the gallery.

A big thank you to Ferrell Mackey and Esme Green from the Goodnow Library for your support, as well as Beau Schless for building the gallery, Kevin Shaw for his help with lighting and installation, and Larry Jodrey for installation. We could not have done this without you.

And we are grateful to the Sherman Family and the Goodnow Library Foundation for the Sara Sherman NOW Lab whose tools and machines created the signage.

Don’t live near the Sudbury but want to contribute? Art can be mailed to The Sara Sherman NOW Lab, Goodnow Library, 21 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776 and we will be happy to place your art in the gallery!
